Patent Intelligence

I conduct investigations and suggest potential solutions that circumvent granted claims in patents that are not licensable by my client. Typically, the patents in question are owned or licensed exclusively to a competitor. The solutions I recommend avoid infringement of the patent claims in question. This can take a variety of forms including:
  • Other technical means of achieving the desired outcome or other patents that are potentially licensable.
  • Unprotected technical areas (white space) that, given some development work, can be protected.
  • Prior art that can be used in requests for re-examination of the competitor’s patent(s) validity or objections to patent application claims before they are granted.
